Students took  art to dizzying heights at Children’s Day celebration in Nagbani, Jammu

Jammu, Nov 14: The students of MHAC Nagbani showcased their immense talent and creativity in Rangoli, Matka Decoration & Fancy Dress.  Competitions held on ‘Children’s Day’.

The theme of the Rangoli was ‘Best Use of Waste Material’. In a mass participation of over 100 entries, the students came out with their innovative and artistic insights. They used broken and used candles, glass, wool, plastic bottles, match sticks, stones & other recyclable straw, material.


They took art to dizzying heights. It was an impressive show which left everyone spell bound. Rangoli made out of used CD’s and broken tiles was entirely a new and innovative concept which stole the show. The Judges had a tough time observing all the entries and deciding the positions.


In the Pre-Senior Category Surbhi Taneja & Urvashi Sharma bagged the first prize. Jatin Sharma & Shruti Mahajan won the first prize in the Senior Category. The theme for the Rangoli for classes 7th & 8th was Save Earth, Save Environment, Save Energy where Vishali Dogra, Jogesh Pradhan stood first from Gulab House & Pragati Wadhera, Radhika Sharma from Pratap House bagged first Position. In Matka Decoration Competition, Students from Classes 5th & 6th participated on a mass scale.

In fancy Dress Competition, Bhubneshwari Sharma, Falak Gupta, Arshiya Sharma, Vidyansh Sharma bagged first prize for Class 1st & Jaivardhan, Kashvi Mahajan, Jag Jaap Singh bagged first prize for Class 2nd.  Special Assembly was also organized in the school premises to mark the occasion. The Kindergarten students celebrated the day with great pomp & show by participating in Fancy Dress Competition.  Principal  Sween Puri lauded the efforts of the students & wished them luck in all their future endeavours.
