While condemning the negative attitude of the govt. towards their demands NYC Volunteers of Jammu District organizes strong protest demonstration. Large number of volunteers assembled near the Press Club Jammu and raised slogans against State Govt. and held a dharna in front of Press Club. This dharna was presides by Jammu Division President Mukesh Sharma, Gourav Bazala, Jagdeep Singh & Sunil Choudhary and others. Mukesh said that we 8000 volunteers of J&K State were deployed by J&K Govt. under the scheme NYC, by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Govt. of India. These volunteers were deployed in different departments of J&K State that are Rural Dev. Deptt, Youth Services & Sports, Tourism Deptt, Finance Deptt., Municipal Corporation, Social Welfare, Shrine Board, D.C. Office, NHRM, Management Disaster, Education etc. He said that all the deployed volunteers works as an Govt. employees in different deptt. But Govt. authority announced that their volunteers job's time period is going to be finished on 31st of March but it is before completion of their job's time periods i.e. 2 years.
All these volunteers are highly educated and Govt. recruit them on the basis their merit.
All the volunteers played crucial role in Panchayati elections and fulfilled various scheme of ground level and also bridged the gap between the people and govt. Most of the volunteer are going to be over-aged and because of this scheme 8000 unemployed and well educated youth of state who turned out to be bread earners of their entire family. NYC leaders lambasted the State Govt. for their attitude. The government should have not to deploy new volunteers and these 8000 volunteers should be continued NYC Volunteers warned the concerned Authority of our demand to be fulfilled. NYC volunteers extent its agitation in huge level. They demanded to regularize them as early as possible. Other NYC representative were present including Nitan Kumar, Arun Choudhary, Asha Rani, Deepika, Sunil Kumar, Surinder Sharma, Varinder, Arun Kumar and others. |
