Jammu: To celebrate the Vishwakarma Day & promote the traditional culture of J&K Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan performed it’s musical play “VISHWAKARMA ” today in collaboration with JK Bhoomi Human welfare society & Sangam tru art production at it’s office compound, Durga Bhawan, disco more, Janipur Jammu on the celebration of Vishwakarma Day . The Play was written and Directed by Sh.M.L.Dogra , renowned writer and director , former Regional director of song and drama division. ministry of information broadcasting, Government of India. The program was inaugurated by Sh.Madan Lal Kalotra , Former Supdt. Engineer PDD J&K Govt. as Chief Guest , Sh. J.K.Koul, Writer , Actor, Producer Director TV & Films presided over the function , Sh.J.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director TV , V.K.Magotra,Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity ,Government of India.
Sh.Tara Singh Charak Former Deputy Director ,Health Department of J&K Government director were the Guest of Honor .The Programe was commenced with the sanskrit famous Shlok “ OM ADHAR SHAPTEY NAMHO AUR OM KUMEYO NAMHO OM ANANATAM NAMHO OM PRITHVIYE NAMHO” & songs were “Vishwakarma Teri Jai Ho – Vishwakarma Teri Jai Ho ”, “Ayo ayo Sab Jawano Majzoor Kasbi te kasano ”, “Mahare Thadre Loke de Khuliye nasib ji thona Rozgar Sabe Nai Hona Koi Garib ji”. The programmed was concluded with the Vishwakarma ji Arti “ Hum sab utare teri arti vishwakarma ji’. The music of the play composed by Mr.M.C.Kotwal . The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness colorful programmes.
Earlier welcoming the audience Mr.M.L.Dogra,Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan , through the light on Vishwakarma day and said God Vishwakarma day is a day of celebration for Vishwakarma, a Hindu god, the divine architect and one of the fourteen precious thing born of the Sumudra Manthan. He constructed the holy city of Dwarka where Krishna ruled, the Maya sabha of the Pandavas, and was the creator of many fabulous weapons for the gods. He is also called the divine Carpenter, is mentioned in Ring Veda, and is credited with Sthapatya veda, the science of mechanics statues and pictures of Vishwakarma are normally installed in every workplace and factory. All workers gather in one common place and perform the puja (reverence) Vishwakarma puja is also celebrated a day after Diwali , along with Govardhan puja. This ritual usually takes place within the factory premises or shop floor, and the otherwise mundane workshops come alive with fiesta. Vishwakarma Puja is also associated with the buoyant custom of flying kites. This occasion in a way also marks the start of the festive season that culminates in Diwali.
Besides above singers ,musician , actors , students & participated in the programme are Usha Handoo, K.K.Joshi, M.C.Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, J.K.Koul (Bezan), Tilak Raj , Kuldeep Raj, Usha Rani, presented the enthrilled performance & the coordinator of the programe Master Deepak Kumar Dogra presented vote of thanks.
