In the first reshuffle of the New Year 2020, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday reshuffled five top IAS officers, even as two more were given the additional charges while a KAS officer was also given an important posting.
The government transferred Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Social Welfare Department, and posted him as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department, while Zubair Ahmad, Secretary to the Government, Culture Department, was given the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department.
Both Industries and Commerce Department, and Tourism Department were earlier entrusted to Navin Kumar Choudhary, who has now been shifted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Education Department with charge of Administrative Secretary, Technical Education Department.
Choudhary has been asked to coordinate speedy processing and disposal of all policy matters pertaining to the Departments of School Education and Higher Education, and the Administrative Secretaries of the Departments of School Education and Higher Education will now submit papers of their Departments related to policy matters through Choudhary.
Sarita Chauhan, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, was transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, while Hirdesh Kumar, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department, was transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, School Education Department.
Kumar would also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Social Welfare Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
M. Raju, Managing Director, J&K Project Construction Corporation, holding additional charge of Excise Commissioner, J&K, was transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department, along with the additional charge of Managing Director, J&K Power Corporation Limited and Managing Director, J&K Power Development Corporation Limite
