Srinagar, Apr 23: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have solved a kidnapping case of a girl in shortest possible time and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
The spokesman said that Police Station Zainapora received a report from a person stating that his minor daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped.
“On receipt, this information, Police Station Zainapora acted swiftly and a team led by SHO Zainapora under the supervision of SDPO Zainapora started an investigation,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said after strenuous efforts, the said girl was recovered from Sogam area of Kupwara from the possession of kidnapper. The girl was handed over to her parents.The accused person was arrested and taken into police custody for further investigation.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 17/2018 under section 363 RPC stands registered in Police Station Zainapora.
