*BANNED DRUG HEROIN RECOVERED; ONE BOOKED: REASI POLICE

Continuing the drive against drug abuse launched by District Police ,Today Reasi Police recovered banned drug Heroin, and booked one drug peddler.
Police party of Police Station Pouni led by Insp Vijay Sharma Sho Pouni under the supervision of Dysp Headquarters Sh Iftkhar Ahmed while Patrolling in domail area noticed suspicious movement of one person namely Sachin Sharma S/O Satpaul, R/O Devak Tehsil. Sunderbani Distt Rajouri he was chased, intercepted and recovered 2.60 gms of banned drug Heroin like substance from his possession.
On this a case FIR No. 36/2022 U/S 8/20/21 NDPS Act. Stands registered at Police Station Pouni and investigation started to unearth forward and backward linkages.
SSP Reasi conveyed that Reasi police is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling from the area and people from all sections of the society should come forward and join hands with Police to strengthen anti-narcotics drive of District Police which is must to save our future generations.
