Srinagar: Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that there should be rotation of headquarters of Kargil and Ladakh on the lines of Jammu and Srinagar.
She said that there should be rotation of headquarters of Kargil and Ladakh much like Jammu and Srinagar, “There is a simple solution to the issue. For six months headquarter should be in Kargil and for other six months it should be in Leh. Even a layman will understand. It seems like BJP is conspiring to alienate Muslim majority of Kashmir,” she said
The PDP president said that governor has not been able to do enough adding that Pir Panjal and Chenab Valley has been ignored, “They should be given divisions status, and governor should continue on the good work we initiated.” Mehbooba said while addressing a press conference here.
On stones pelted on stranded Kashmiris said that there were miscreants on both sides, “People of Jammu are very secular, despite the fact there are extremists trying to incite them. I salute people of Jammu,” she said.
On demanding mortal remains of Afzal Guru Mehbooba said that it has always been the agenda of PDP that Afzal be forgiven, “Mufti Sayeed during his tenure demanded his mortal remains. We stand by our decision to demand the mortal remains of Guru .” She said
Adding that their agenda has always been same whether in power or not.
