Ceasefire half-hearted measure from India: Syed Salahuddin

Srinagar, May 18: Conglomerate of militant outfits, United Jihad Council Friday said that the ceasefire declaration for the month of Ramadan by India would have looked receptive and encouraging if this country would have shown some seriousness and character.
While addressing high command council meeting UJC and Hizb head, Syed Salahuddin said that this ceasefire is a big joke as it is based on the idea of ceasefire versus ceasefire. “Once the month of Ramadan will be over, India will again unleash terror and resort to killings,” he said adding that such tactics can’t mislead the people of Kashmir and the international community.
As per a statement to news agency CNS, Syed Salahuddin advised India to be serious and take appropriate measures to resolve the issue of Kashmir. “Ceasefire is a half-hearted measure which doesn’t depict the seriousness of India. It’s better for India to accept the nature of the dispute and resolve it as per the aspirations of people and in the light of UN Resolutions.”
Salahuddin also suggested India to release all the political prisoners languishing in different jails under Confidence Building Measure.
