Clashes broke out between the government forces and people in Drubgam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after forces launched a cordon and search operation in the village.
Reports said that soon after the operation was launched by a mixed contingent of forces including army’s 44 RR, Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a search operation in the area, people especially youth pelted them with stones.
In response to the stone pelting, the government forces retaliated by firing tear smoke shells, triggering further clashes. However, the clashes ended later without any damage.
SSP Pulwama confirmed the incident to Kashmir life and said there were minor clashes in the village, and the protestors were dispersed later.
