Ramban, Apr 25: On second day of the strike call, the clerical staff on Tuesday held protest rallies at district headquarters across the Chenab valley in support of their demands.
They were demanding removing of pay anomalies between the cadres of same grade.
At Ramban, striking staff took out protest rally in the premises of district administrative complex Maitra in which scores of clerks participated.
The protesters were carrying banners and raised slogans in support of their demands.
Due to the strike the normal office work remained affected in the government offices at Ramban ,Batote ,Rahgarh, Gool ,Ukhra,l Khari ,and Banihal Tehsils and caused inconvenience to general public.
Meanwhile in Doda district in support of the call given by the Jammu Kashmir& Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association ,The clerical staff of all held protest rally from DC Office Doda to Mini Sectt and condemned the cellulous attitude of the Government towards their demands .
The Clerical Association of District Doda asked all clerical fraternity to show unity and solidarity with the association for their common cause.
The members, who participated in the protest include; Mohammad Issa, Yashpal Singh ,Mohammad Ashraf, Mushtaq Ahmed, Sajjad Hussain. Rashid Zafar, Umar Ali, Irshad Ahmed, Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, Mohammad Qasim, Rajesh Kumar Sharma Rajesh Chanda Shakuntla Devi, Bushra Islam, Anju Devi.
The reports of protest and rallies are pouring in from other districts and areas of Chenab valley as well.
