Jammu,May 18:J&K BJP Vice President YudhvirSethi on Monday lambasted the Congress President Sonia Gandhi of doing politics over stranded migrants across the nation amid lockdown due to outbreak of COVID-19 and trying to weaken the country in its fight against the pandemic.
In a statement issued here today, Sethi said that opposition party is weakening the country’s fight against the coronavirus by doing petty politics. He said that Congress is inflaming poor labourers who are stranded in various parts of the country due to the lockdown. He asserted that the BJP led Government at the Centre is making all efforts for their home return and in this regard instructions had already been given to the state governments to foot the bill for paying the rail fare of migrant workers and the railway ministry has also subsidized 85 per cent of the ticket fare for the special trains being run to take these workers home.
Sethi mentioned that while Prime Minister NarendraModi brought together all the Chief Ministers by taking them into confidence for a constructive and collective fight against Covid-19, Sonia Gandhi was allegedly trying to divide the country by talking to Congress CMs separately.
