An army was killed while as three others were injured after armies of India and Pakistan exchanged gunfire in Keri Battal of Sunderbani sector along LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An army official said that the Pakistan army in violation of ceasefire opened unprovoked fire and mortar shells resulting in the killing of one soldier and injuries to three others. The soldiers manning the fence responded the fire effectively, news agency GNS quoted an officer as saying.
However, the firing was stopped later from both sides.
