New Delhi: The gorgeous and highly talented Deepika Padukone is one of the most sought-after actresses of Bollywood today. The dimpled beauty is all over the internet these days owing to her wedding with actor Ranveer Singh. Whenever there is news about ‘Deepveer’, fans are eager to know it.
The actress is making headlines again but this time for a different reason.
For the unversed, Deepika is the elder daughter of former badminton champion Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone. An ad that features Deepika and her mom is going viral and winning hearts on the internet.
The ad is for a toothpaste brand in which the mother-daughter duo is seen reminiscing the day when the 18-year-old Deepika gave up badminton and decided to pursue a career in acting.

In the ad, Ujjala says, “Putting her into badminton came very naturally because my husband is a national champion. She worked very hard to reach the state level. One morning she woke up and said I want to move to Bombay and I want to become an actor… so I said, Deepika I think you’re dreaming. Go back to sleep,” Recounting her daughter’s words, Ujjala says, “Ma, you just wait and see, one day I’ll make you all proud,”. To this, a blushing Deepika replies, “Can’t believe I said that.”
The ad beautifully captures a mother and daughter’s relationship and tells about the struggles Deepika faced due to being from a sports background.
