Bhadarwah,27- Nov:In connection with the celebrations of National Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas), an impressive program was organised by NSS Unit in collaboration with EBSB Club of Government Degree College Thathri today in which a large number of students, teaching and non teaching staff participated.
The program
started with pledge taking ceremony in which all the students and staff of the College took pledge affirming to be loyal and obedient to the constitution of India. It was further resolved that each and every student of the College during the course of their studies will follow strictly the directions enshrined in the Preamble of the Constitution of India, which has the distinction of being a Secular, Democratic and religiously tolerant
Constitution of the world and of the country. The pledge taking ceremony was followed by an address of the Principal Prof. Basharat Iqbal and Prof. Sudesh Kumar HOD Political Science. Speaking in the event, they elobrated the meaning and content of the Indian Constitution and also made it explicitly clear that when and why various amendments were introduced in the document of the Indian Constitution for the betterment and welfare of the Indian Nation as a whole.
On this occasion, a specific mention was made of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the architect of Indian Constitution and other members of Constituent Assembly who after their long hectic efforts and thoughtful considerations framed the document of the Constitution for the largest democracy of the Republic of India.
