In a statement issued to Kashmir News Trust, Dr Suhail Naik, President DAK said that “it was disturbing news for us last night when we heard about the arrest of Dr Ajaz Rasool by police personal. Though DAK has not been able to establish any contact with the said doctor however according to sources and as per the media reports he was attending his uncle at District Hospital Anantnag, who was not keeping well and was admitted in the hospital. He left the hospital at late evening hours and while on his way home he was stopped by some unknown persons who asked him for a lift. He, on humanitarian grounds allowed them to board his vehicle.”
