Srinagar: Security forces on Monday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Turse village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said.
A police official said a joint operation was launched by Special operations group of Jammu and Kashmir police and Army in the Turse area of Nutnusa today.
He said the CASO was launched following “specific” inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches in the area were going on when last report came.
