Srinagar: An encounter between terrorists and security forces broke out in Tral area of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The gunfight broke out after the security forces received inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
A search operation has been launched as 3-4 terrorists are hiding in the area.
Earlier during the day, security forces has received information about militants hiding in Shopian’s Turkawangam village in the state after which they had launched a search operation. The area was later cordoned off.
A door-to-door search operation was also carried by the forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir early on Tuesday.
