Srinagar, May 16 :Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah asked if unchecked crowds outside liquor shops and trains running full capacity has not problem, why resumption of air traffic needs more study.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter Vice President of the National Conference (NC) Omar said “So it’s OK to pack sealed AC trains full to capacity with no social distancing in side the bogies but flights need more study?”.He further tweeted “Unchecked crowds outside booze shops are no problem but planes will spread disease? I guess expertise comes in all shapes &sizes”.He was reacting to a tweet which read, “We should wait for flights to start. There are issues which need further study. Mainly the issue is of the pressurised cabin. This could be conducive to the spread of the disease.”Meanwhile, he also re-tweeted a tweet of one Ankit Agrawal which said “ Anyone willing to buy my wheelchair ? Selling to raise money to be able to buy tickets on evacuation flight to india and to pay for an aisle wheelchair as Airlines not willing to provide one due to social distancing”.
Due to continued suspension of domestic and international air traffic, lakhs of people are stranded in different countries though centre has launched Vande Bharat to repatriate stranded passengers. However, over 900 resident of Jammu and Kashmir in United Arab Emirates (UAE) alleged that they were ignored as there is not a single flight to Srinagar.
