Kargil, Aug 3: The High level team of Jamiat e Ullama Isna Ashriya Kargil JUIAK Ladakh comprised of members of Ullama Council and Survey Committee JUIAK called upon The CEC LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan at Council Secretariat after their 2 days tour of Flood Affected Areas and villages all over Kargil.
The committee led by Secretary JUIAK Ladakh Hujjatul Islam Sheik Ibrahim Khalili submitted a detailed report of the damages caused to people during the recent flash floods.
The committee thanked and appreciated the prompt action and decision of LAHDC Kargil led by CEC Himself and taking tour of the effected villages particularly to Khaous Tai Suru, Sangrah, Youljuk , Mangmore samara, Mangmore Khangral, Bodh Kharboo etc even if they have use the bucket of a JCB to cross the streams at Sangrah.
The team apprised the CEC about the damage particularly to Residential Homes and reallocation of whole Village at Khaous to safer place, restoration of Irrigational Cannals, Roads, Water Supply and Electricity , immediate relief and proper policy to prevent further climate disaster etc
The team also requested Feroz Ahmad Khan to arrangements of alternate place to reside till some permanent solution for the effected families at Suru.
Feroz Ahmad Khan thanking the efforts of JUIAK for sending a team to assess the situation and later bringing out the problems of the people in the form of a report to authorities which is a positive sign of getting things done in a positive way.
He said that arrangements has been made for making temporary arrangements of living for the affected families at Khaous even for winter till a permanent solution is not found and they will be provided free ration also.
Feroz Ahmad Khan referring to his meeting with district officer said that major irrigation cannals will be restored in day to come and all major roads has been restored with water supply and electricity.
Earlier the team had a detailed tour of all the affected villages of Tai Suru, TSG, Shargole and Shakar Chiktan blocks to assess the damage caused by the floods. The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh
