In region’s summer capital Srinagar, particularly old city, curbs were imposed by authorities to thwart any attempts of people taking out any protest demonstrations.

The call for shutdown was given by separatist amalgam of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik who have been put under detention.
13 militants, four civilians and three army soldiers were killed in day long clashes in Shopian and Anantnag districts on Sunday. Over 200 protesters were injured in forces’ action.
