Srinagar, Apr 11: A youth was hit by pellets during clashes near the site of gunfight in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Reports said that the youth, identified as Irfan Ahmad of Tengpora Khudwani, was shifted to a local hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Earlier, massive clashes erupted between the youth and government forces near the site of the gunfight in Wani Mohalla area of Khudwani.
The protesters hurled rocks at the forces who responded by firing live ammunition, tear gas and pellets.
A soldier and a civilian were killed and two more forces’ personnel suffered injuries in the gunfight and clashes.
