Srinagar
After three days of consecutive shutdown to mourn the killing of two militants, life returned to normal in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
Life in Shopian was put on halt after the killing of top Al Badr commander Zeenat ul Islam and his aide Shakeel Ahmad Dar in a gunfight with the forces in Kathpora village of Yaripora area of the neighbouring Kulgam district on Saturday evening.
Reports said that early Wednesday morning shops and business establishments opened across the district.
The public and private transport were also back on the roads and there were no restrictions on civilian movement.
Heavy rush of customers was seen in Shopian market while buying different essential commodities.
