    Lok Sabha election 2019 dates announced: Complete schedule, seat details, states and phases

    New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for the much-awaited 17th Lok Sabha elections in India. As per the ECI, the general elections will be held from April 11 with Maharashtra going for polls on April 29. The counting of polls will be conducted on May 23. The ECI announced 7-phase election instead of 11 (in 2014). The upcoming elections are believed to be one of the biggest electoral exercises in recent times. Here’s the full schedule of the election, state wise.

    April 11- Phase I

    Andhra Pradesh: 25 seats

    Arunachal Pradesh: 2 seats

    Assam: 5 seats

    Bihar: 4 seats

    Chhattisgarh: 1 seat

    Jammu and Kashmir: 2 seats

    Maharashtra: 7 seats

    Manipur: 1 seat

    Meghalaya: 2 seats

    Mizoram: 1 seat

    Nagaland: 1 seat

    Odisha: 4 seats

    Sikkim: 1 seat

    Telangana: 17 seats

    Tripura: 1 seat

    Uttar Pradesh: 10 seats
