Jammu: The Hon’ble Mayor, JMC,Chander Mohan Gupta today attended the function on “World Disabled Day” held at Blind School at Roop Nagar Jammu in which Shamsher Singh Manhas Hon’ble Member of Parliament Raja Sabha, Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor, JMC, Sunaina Sharma Secretary, JMC & Sandhaya Gupta Chairperson Women Club also attended the function.
The Mayor appreciated the efforts and initiative taken by National federation of Blind J&K State chapter and announced that he will also take up their demands with the government for the welfare of Blind children.
The Mayor visited Municipal Animal Care Centre at Roop nagar and took stock of the working of said centre & instructed Dr. Jaffar Iqbal Municipal Veterinary Officer JMC to provide best facilities for the welfare of animals at the said centre & keep the premises neat and clean. The Mayor also conducted plantation drive in the said premises.
