Srinagar: Former Chief Minister, and Peoples Democrativc Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, while alleging that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has an unhealthy obsession with bombs, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and nuclear arsenal, said that ‘though these violent remarks are unwarranted and shameful, she is not expecting Election Commission of India (ECI) to act since it is in deep slumber like ‘Kumbkharan’.’
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mufti said, ‘BJP has an unhealthy obsession with bombs, IEDs & nuclear arsenal. Violent remarks like these are unwarranted & shameful. Don’t expect ECI to act since it’s in deep slumber like Kumbhkaran”.
While reacting to BJP minister Pankaja Munde’s alleged statement that “Rahul Gandhi should be tied to a bomb and sent to another country”, Ms. Mufti wrote.
The former BJP ally was reacting to remarks of a BJP minister who had said that Rahul Gandhi should be tied to a bomb and send to another country.
