Mendhar, Dec 7: A youth form remotest village of Mendhar, Poonch district has successfully cracked the complex selection process to join as Army.
Nabil Ashgar son of Ali Ashgar of Sagra, a village close to Line of Control in Mendhar had beend trained by Rashtriya Rifle unit under “Youth Engagement Programme” as a part of Sadbhavana Project.
As part spokesperson apart from security and surveillance task, Rashtriya Rifle unit in Mendhar organized training for potential youth from remote areas aspiring for joining armed forces.
A total of 10 candidates under the project were selected and trained in various aspects to include physical training and preparation for written exam. Medical examination was also conducted for the selected candidates in the units from where shortlisted candidates escort to JAK LI regiment centre, Srinagar to undergo the selection procedure.
In the overwhelming response, a youth from remotest area successfully completed the selection procedure and got selected in JAK LI Regiment of Indian Army.
The unit congratulates its selected candidate and assured that it will continue to run such projects under to motivate the youth for actively in the nation building process.
