Srinagar, July 25: Militants on Wednesday morning exchanged heavy fire with the government forces in Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A senior police official said that the exchange of fire took place in Kashir Katan Nall in Keran sector of the frontier district.
He said that a group of militants opened fire when they were challenged by the forces near the Line of Control today morning. The forces retaliated, resulting in an exchange of fire.
