Jammu, Feb 13: Police on Wednesday recovered body of a missing man from along Jammu-Pathankot national highway in Vijaypur area of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“At around 0755 hours on Wednesday dead body recovered from near Dera Gandotra National Highway at Vijaypur was identified as Ghulam Ali Bhatt (65), who was a retired BDO, son of Mohammad Sharif Bhatt, resident of Mohalla Qila, Bhaderwah, at present living at Lane No 1, Satellite Colony Bathindi Jammu,” police here said.
They said that the deceased was misplaced on Tuesday from near Wavemall, Jammu.
Police is on job to crack the cause of death.
The family of the deceased on Tuesday lodged his missing complaint with the police and claimed that he was hit by a Punjab registration number vehicle and the occupants took him in the vehicle to hospitalise him but thereafter the deceased went missing.
