Monitoring Desk,29-Dec;President Draupadi Murmu has stressed on the need for digital literacy in the country. She recalled that at a recent meeting with Google CEO Sundar Pichai. She emphasised the need of digital literacy in the country as everyone uses mobile phones and with internet unlimited people are using technology like never before. She wanted the same be put to better use like for digital literacy.
She said, engineering plays a big role in technological advancements and added that engineering as a profession has become very critical today. Addressing the students of G Natayanamma institute of science and technology, on the occasion its 25th year anniversary in Hyderabad today, Draupadi Murmu said, the engineering profession gives us unthinkable and unprecedented solutions to problems and have the power to make the world better to live.
She said, the country is taking New initiatives in renewable energy, in green energy, e-mobility and green hydrogen are producing better results on ground level leading to technology innovations. She called upon students to come out with engineering solutions to improve the living conditions of people, in particular, senior citizens, disadvantaged sections and divyangs.
