Jammu: North West India witnessed rainfall activity in the past 24 hours due to the impact of an active western disturbance.
A senior official in the IMD, Dr M Mohpatra said, due to the influence of western disturbance, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan have experienced rainfall activity.
He said, eastern parts of the country like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand will also experience rainfall activity today.
Light showers accompanied by gusty winds lashed several parts of the national capital yesterday in the night. The rain brought much-needed relief to the people experiencing hot and humid weather conditions from the past few days.
The Weatherman has predicted light rains today in Delhi and its adjoining areas.
