Srinagar: There was a break from the continuing cold wave conditions on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir following overcast skies in the Valley and forecast of another spell of rain and snow later and on Thursday.
“Rain in plains and snow in mountains is likely to occur on Wednesday and Thursday,” an official of the Met department said.
Minimum temperature was minus 0.1 degree Celsius in Srinagar, while in Pahalgam and Gulmarg it was minus 0.3 and minus 3, respectively.
In Ladakh, Leh was at minus 6.3, Kargil minus 17.2 and Drass at minus 9.3 degree Celsius.
Jammu city recorded 11.1, Katra 11.2, Batote 4.1, Banihal 2.7 and Bhaderwah 1.6 degrees Celsius
