Inaugurated Special camp for registration under PM-JAY at community hall Bhaderwah
Doda, December 15: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region and Prime Minister Office (PMO) Dr. Jitendra Singh laid foundation stone of Institute of High Altitude Medicinal Plants (IHAMP) at Bhaderwah of District Doda.
The approximate estimated cost of the construction of IHAMP Bhaderwah is Rs. 100 crore.
Joint Secretary Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India Roshan Jaggi, CEO National Medicinal Plants Board Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India Dr. Tanuja M. Nesari, Ex MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar, Director Indian Systems of Medicine J&K Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM/AYUSH) J&K Dr. Phuntsog Angchuk, Deputy Commissioner Doda Anshul Garg, SSP Doda Mohd Shabir Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti and other district officers were present on the occasion.
The institute will be a pioneer in research about medicinal plants. This will also help the farmers in cultivation of medicinal plants in scientific ways. New technologies shall be introduced in the cultivation of local medicinal plants. Training and capacity building in field of medicinal plants shall generate the employment opportunity for unemployed youth.
Later the Shripad Yesso Naik and Dr. Jitendra Singh also inaugurated special camp for registration under AYUSHMAN Bharat (PM-JAY) at community hall Bhaderwah. 200 eligible benificries were enrolled on the spot and Golden cards were distributed among benificries.
