    Six held for disrupting Friday prayer in Gurugram after video goes viral

    Srinagar, Apr 28: Six persons allegedly affiliated to a Hindu organization have been arrested for disrupting Friday prayers in Wazirabad village of Gurugram, a media report said today.
    India Today reported that around 500 Muslims were offering Friday prayers when a group of Hindu youth shouting “Jai Shri Ram” and “Radhey Radhey” slogans disrupted the prayer on April 20.
    The arrests came after a video of the incident became viral on social networking websites.
    Those arrested were identified as Arun, Manish, Deepak, Monu alias Nambardar, Mohit, and Ravinder, according to Tribune.
    “Keeping in mind the April-20 incident, we have deployed adequate police personnel at the village to maintain law and order situation intact,” the report quoted Ravinder Kumar, PRO of Gurugram police, as having said.
    “A case under Sections 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), 296 (disturbing religious assembly) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC,” said Arvind Dahiya, Station House Officer (SHO), Sector-53 police station, according to Tribune.
