Srinagar,Apr 24: Inspector General of Police SP Pani Tuesday said that the group involved in Laam Forest shootout seem to be affiliated with militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad.
He was talking to reporters after the culmination of wreath laying ceremony of counter insurgent cop of Jammu Kashmir Police Latif Gojjri who along with a soldier Ajay Kumar were killed today in an encounter that is in progress in dense Laam forest are of Tral town in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
IGP said that prima facie it seems that militants involved in the shootout is from JeM. He said the operation is in progress and everything will be clear once it will be over.
