Banihal, Apr 4: A youth was killed and another injured after a giant boulder crushed their vehicle on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir late last night, police said.
An official said that the duo was travelling towards Jammu from Kashmir when a giant boulder crushed their vehicle (registration number JK 01V 7711) at Digdol at 11:30 pm.
The deceased was identified as Barik Hilal (23), son of Hilal Ahmad Dagloo, a resident of Usmaniya Colony Goripora Srinagar, said the official.
He identified the injured driver as Dawood Rashid (25), son of Abdul Rashid of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. He was rushed to Ramban hospital for treatment.
