Samba, 10-Nov:District Police Samba observed Thana Diwas at its all the Police Stations. SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, IPS, attended the “Thana Diwas” at Police Station Bari-Brahmana whereas in rest of the Police Stations, Thana Diwas was attended by concerned supervisory Officer and SHO to listen to the issues raised by the Public related to Police. 
“Thana Diwas” is being observed by Samba Police on 2nd & Last Thursday of every month. During the public hearing, the Police related genuine issues raised by the public were addressed. However issues/ grievances pertaining to other departments shall be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
During the “Thana Diwas”, character certificates, service verification certificates, passport verification certificates, birth certificates, death certificates were also issued on the spot to the applicant. A record of all the complaints/ issues highlighted by the public on “Thana Diwas” along with its follow up is being maintained at each Police Station.
