    Two-Month Long Amarnath Yatra Culminates

Srinagar 31 Aug: Amarnath Yatra, which spanned for two months, culminated on Thursday (31 August) after the performing of morning Aarti at the Amarnath Cave in the J&K UT.

The pilgrimage, in which lakhs of devotees take part each year to pay their obeisance at the Amarnath Cave, went for 62 days this time after starting on July Ist this year.

The J&K UT administration had taken various steps in order to facilitate a seamless movement of pilgrims during their pious journey. Among the measures, priority as usual, was given more to security arrangements to stem any untoward incident.

Pertinent to mention that the Amarnath pilgrimage was by and large incident-free, encouraging the pilgrims to visit the cave again and bolster others as well to undertake the Yatra.

A couple of well-known faces, who also took part in this year’s Amarnath Yatra, also proved to be vital to garner more attention towards the Yatra, which further strengthens ties among the people.

In J&K, the people also believe that the Yatra’s culmination is the harbinger of an early stage of winter, with day temperature taking dip, especially during mornings and evenings
