VEER PRAHRAHRI MOTOR CYCLE RALLY BY DIVYANG YODHA ARRIVES AT BSF FRONTIER JAMMU
Today a Veer Prahri Motor Rally of Divyang Yodha comprising of 12 riders under the command of Shri Surinder Singh, Commandant (Trg), FHQ including 01 yodha as a substitute rider of the team arrived at Hargobind Bhatnagar Stadium of BSF Jammu Frontier. A cheerful and warm welcome was accorded to the team by Sh Surjit Singh Sekhon, DIG SHQ Jammu. Speaking on this occasion he applauded the team for their valour and said that in continuation of celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” a veer Prahrari Motor Cycle rally by divyang yodhas of BSF has been organised under the aegis of Divyang Skill Development Centre and in this rally those warriors are participating who have sustained ops related injury during firing, grenade and IED blast while performing various duties on international border and internal security of this nation.
Sh Surjit Singh Sekhon,DIG further said that in “DIVYANG SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE” is providing technical training to the divyang yodhas and helped them to make them efficient and moreover this centre is also imparting training to the yodhas of CAPF for participating in para sports competition. He further added that BSF troops have always kept the BSF flag high by winning the medals in international sports and this rally will be the one more step in this direction.
It is pertinent to mention here that after flag off from National Police Memorial, Chanakyapuri New Delhi from 07 April 2022 this rally has arrived at Jammu frontier via Abohar and Amritsar covering a distance of 824 km. This rally will cover the distance of 1415 Kms including different Headquarters of BSF and return back to Delhi on 13th April 2022.
On 11April 2022 the team will depart from Jammu Frontier to its next destination STC BSF Kharkan camp in Punjab.
