Kishtwar: The Young & dynamic KAS Officer from Doda was today awarded with Bharat Jyoti Award by the former Chattisgarh Governor in an impressive function held at New Delhi.
As per the details available, Zakir Hussain Wani, 2010 batch KAS Officer who is presently posted as Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department in District Doda
J&K has conferred with Bharat Jyoti Award 2018 by India International Friendship Society for his outstanding Contribution in the field of Administration including 100% updating of POS Machines and fulfilling the given targets under Supply Chain Management besides 100% Aadhar Authentication of Ration cards in District Doda.
The award was handed over to Wani by Shekher Dutt, former Governor of Chattisgarh in an impressive function at New Delhi.
Before his posting as AD CAPD in native District of Doda, Zakir Wani who hails from Braswana village of Doda District which is still without road connectivity even after 70 years of independence serve as Assistant Labor Commisoner Kishtwar, BDO Nagrota, Ghat and DPO Jammu.
When contacted, Zakir Wani said that it is an immense pleasure for him to join the elite club of some officials from the state of Jammu and Kashmir to receive this award. He said that after joining the civil services, his aim was to serve the people of his state in different capacities added that he will continue to work hard so that he can come upto the expectations of the people as well as before the senior officials in the Government.
He also expressed his gratitude to India International Friendship Society for honouring him with this prestigious award.
